Snakes in New Brunswick
New Brunswick doesn’t have too many six species, just six, with none being venomous. The Fundy National Park in the province houses around four snake species, the garter snake species being the longest, measuring between 18 inches and 26 inches. The red-bellied snake is the smallest of all New Brunswick species, 8 to 10 inches long.
In a tragic incident in New Brunswick’s Campbellton city, the dangerous African python killed two boys aged four and six in 2013. Post this incident; the python was killed through euthanization.
